THE THREAT! Monday Haters Club!!!

My name is EmmyG and I have a confession to make...I used to be a Monday Hater! The hate for Mondays took a new dimension in 2010, particularly towards the end of the last quarter. The weekends were barely over before all social networks would be agog with the status updates on how dreadful mondays were and all manners of pictures to drive home the hate for mondays - monday @ d therapist, monday strangling its victim, it was hilarious.
My dread for Mondays back then could be compared to that of a kid dreading the first day at school, a wife with her mother-in-law, a babe with her toaster who just doesn't know when to be quiet and a guy, that babe that's all about the things his money can get her...I'm sure you catch my drift. All of a sudden, there was a whole band wagon of Monday haters, like a bell had gone off...'yes, yes, its time to start hating Mondays'. Truth is, Mondays can be tough, especially when it starts off a week long of activities you are totally uninterested in.

One day, I got thinking and realized it was a waste of time hating Mondays as being alive to witness yet another Monday should be a celebration of life. The gift of life surpasses whatever hurdles that have made us come to dread Mondays so. The Psalmist says today is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

Short illustration: An Uncle in a village which is 13 hours drive from you calls you up and says you should come pick up a package of N$£xxxxx (insert amount that would appeal to you). The hassle of the journey would be inconsequential because you're anticipating something greater. In the same vein, God daily loads us with benefits (Psalm 68:19), yep everyday, all week long, Mondays too, believe it!

Trust me i feel the pain of Mondays, they can be outright painful, don't get carried away with dreading the day that you miss out on grabbing all the benefits it holds.
Way to go- Love all days.

So the new way, TGIM through to TGIF, S & S. Yep, thanking God all week long is the way to go.
