Jim Gray (conductor, Nashville Symphony) along with the Grammy® award-winning Nashville Symphony, are gearing up for this year’s Music with a Mission on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the beautiful Schermerhorn Symphony Center with proceeds benefiting Nashville Rescue Mission. The Mission serves over 2,000 meals a day, and provides over 800 men, women, and children experiencing homelessness with safe shelter each night.
“This is our sixth year in presenting Music with a Mission with proceeds benefiting those who find help and hope at Nashville Rescue Mission,” shared Jim Gray, conductor of the Nashville Symphony. “This year’s line-up features some all-star performers crossing a variety of genres. Performers include, country music singer and member of the Grand Ole Opry, Lorrie Morgan; country music singer-songwriter Mo Pitney; GRAMMY® winning Contemporary Christian singer and songwriter Chris Tomlin; author, actor, songwriter, and Christian music artist, GRAMMY® winner Jason Crabb; and last but certainly not least, Ghanaian-born singer and songwriter Ruby Amanfu. We are so excited about this year’s show. It will be a magical night that will entertain young and old alike while helping an extremely worthy cause.”
“We appreciate the tremendous support we continue to receive from Nashville’s entertainment community,” said Rev. Glenn Cranfield, president and CEO of Nashville Rescue Mission. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to enjoy an impressive night of musical entertainment, while also giving help and hope to the homeless. Each day the Mission serves over 2,000 meals to hungry and homeless men, women, and children. And while helping the homeless might start with a meal at the Mission, we offer that and so much more. We are grateful for our donors, volunteers, and everyone who plays a role in helping us meet the needs of those we serve. We could not do this without you.”
Jim Gray will conduct the award-winning Nashville Symphony. This event is also made possible through the generosity of sponsors and performers. Missy & Rick Baker are this year’s Presenting Sponsor. This year’s Patron Sponsor is a generous, but anonymous donor. Southern Lawn Equipment is this year’s Meet & Greet Sponsor. All Music with a Mission performers are donating their time and talent to the event, with proceeds benefiting Nashville Rescue Mission. The Schermerhorn Symphony Center is located at One Symphony Place, Nashville, TN 37201.
Tickets for this benefit are now on sale, with general admission seating starting at $39. Visit http://www.nashvillesymphony.org to purchase tickets or call the box office at 615-687-6400. Short Story: How Big is God?

A boy asked his father, "Dad, how big is God?"
Looking up at the sky his father saw an airplane and asked his son, "How big is that airplane?"
The boy responded, "It's small, Dad! You can hardly even see it!"

Then the father took his son to an airport hanger.
Standing in front of one of the airplanes, the father asked, "And how big is this airplane?"
The boy responded,  "Oh, Daddy, this plane is enormous!"

At this point, the father said to him, "That's how it is with God! How big He is depends on the distance between you and Him! The closer you are to Him, the bigger He is in your life!"

It’s been quite a terrific year for theagidigba crooner, who had a couple of months sat as a member of panel of COZA’s ‘The Gratitude‘ Music competition, alongside Tye Tribbett. He also performed on the same stage with Tye Tribbett in Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly (COZA) recently.

Movie Premiere of ’93 Days’ At The Rock Cathedral, Sept 13

93-days-movie-premierThe House on the Rock Church, Natives FilmWorks, Michelangelo Productions and the Bolanle Austen Peters Production are collaborating to host The Nigerian Premiere of the Nigerian produced Film – 93 Days, on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at The Rock Cathedral, 4th Roundabout, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.
Starring Bimbo Akintola, Danny Glover, Tim Reid, Somkele Idhalama, Keppy Ekpenyong Gideon Okeke and other talented actors, 93 Days is a compelling story of dedication, sacrifice and resilience which celebrates the courage shown by the First Consultant Medical Team, the Lagos State & Federal Governments and well-meaning organizations in combating the Ebola virus, which broke out early 2014 in Nigeria.
The movie tells the story of how a few sacrificed their lives at the frontline of the horrendous battle against the Ebola virus, some of who lost their lives, but not without saving several lives. Noteworthy is the late Dr. Stella Adadevoh whose role is played by renowned Nigerian actress, Bimbo Akintola.
Working with her younger colleagues, her early detection of the disease in a patient and insistence on treating him contributed greatly to limiting the spread of the disease in our nation. This powerful movie has the central themes of triumph, heroism and a country’s determination to rise above the storm.
One of the Producers of the movie, Bolanle Austen-Peters in her statement said, “93 Days is a masterfully crafted story of bravery and sacrifice and is definitely a must see. It showcases the best of Nigeria; it is powerful, gripping and an emotive piece. I am more than proud to have played a part in this project.”
The Lagos State Government’s rapid response and collaboration with other well-meaning organizations in combating the deadly virus earned this notable event the theme, The Power of COLLABORATION. This movie tells the story of greatness and drives home the importance of unity in conquering and overcoming challenges.
Speaking on The House on the Rock Partnership with these notable bodies, the Senior Pastor of all House on the Rock Churches, Pastor Paul Adefarasin said, “House on the Rock’s mission is to work together with everyone that is invested in building a transformed nation, a better Nigeria, and this essence ties strongly into the courage displayed by Dr. Stella Adadevoh and her colleagues who brought hope to a nation that was being threatened by devastation, at the expense of their own lives. This is the kind of love and sacrifice that can truly bring transformation to all.”
The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), widely recognized for showing the most outstanding films from around the world, has selected 93 Days for screening in September at the Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto Canada.

93 days is definitely a movie to see and will be remembered.
