Peace in a sure Promise.

Of course! There have been instances of a woman waiting for a man for years before they finally get together. Its nothing new.
When you have concluded that your intended is the best for you, there is this strength and will to wait even till the end of the world for that person.

Trouble begins when you begin to meet people with finer qualities and quantities than your intended and they want you. This is where the test of faithfulness comes. And since you haven't been bound by any particular sacrament...how easy it is to give in without remorse to the better package.

But there is a promise that flows from glory and majesty...there is a package that flows from the very throne of God...there is a man God intends for you as his daughter and a woman for his son. He may not be the richest or finest or most eloquent you have met in life but he is the best for you...because God said so. And to choose by your own discretion is a fatal error. You don't see the next moment...your own choice may have an accident and be crippled for the rest of his life...he may die young leaving you to take care of three kids...his interest in you may wear out...he may lose his job and the subsequent ones may never measure up to the one that caught your eye in the first place...in short, his best may be the status you were attracted to after which he begins to decelerate in life.

Of course...tragedies happen even to those who marry within Gods design. But herein lies the difference...they are not alone! With God, they can leap over walls of obstacles and they can rout whole legions. You can't...because you are on your own.
There is a peace in following Gods will no matter how absurd it seems at the time. He is not imprudent. He has considered every detail of your life before coming to His conclusion for you. What have you considered? What do you even know to consider?

Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.
God help us. Amen. -Adepoju Aderonke
