I’ve had the privilege of a listen and I must confess it's an awesome album. It’s non else than the double album release from Tim Godfrey and The Xtreme, undoubtedly Nigeria’s leading gospel band. With titles “I worship” and “the audience of one” both albums represent 2 sides of the same coin; a project that is sure to usher in a new wave of spirited worship in Nigeria and indeed the rest of the world.
It’s been a huge pleasure to play and replay both albums since i got them, so let’s dive in and see what each has to offer.
I WORSHIP
In the first of the albums, “I Worship”, the title track rightly ushers you into an atmosphere of worship, setting the tone for what is to come.
In “Na you be God” and it’s reprise which features Eben and Cchioma, I think Nigeria may have just found a new worship classic, while in Ibuchukwu, IBK and Cchioma combine beautifully with D Xtreme to produce a masterpiece.
“Aribiti” and “Olorun” featuring “Dare Justified” and “Blessing” respectively will definitely bring the Yoruba listener to His Knees in heartfelt worship. “I Worship” also features the hit singles “Incredible” and “Oriki”. In all, there are a total of seventeen tracks (including the bonus track “Amen”) in this album.

THE AUDIENCE OF ONE
In “The audience of one”, Tim Godfrey & D Xtreme pick up from where they left off in “I Worship”. Track 2, “Kosi” and its reprise which feature Cchioma and “IBK” will be standout gospel tracks for many more years, literally leaving listeners in true awe of God.
Tim Godfrey shares the testimony of a miraculous deliverance from near death in “Tell me”, a previously released hit single where he also delivers a passionate cry of gratitude to God. A reprise featuring IBK is sure to leave you out of breath after you’re done worshiping.

Seasoned worship leader, “Mairo Ese” also joins in the worship experience as he spearheads a call to Thanksgiving in “Oghene Do” while IBK yet again raises the bar in “Atobiju” a seeming reprise to “Aribiti” from “I Worship”. “Mmama Ya” another hit single completes this sixteen track album that truly reflects its title “The audience of one.”
I WORSHIP THE AUDIENCE OF ONE
When put together, both albums culminate in the title above; “I Worship the Audience of One” a total of 33 tracks in all, delivering a strong call to Worship and Purpose.
Perhaps what is most striking about both albums is Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme’s approach. Most songs are written in Nigerian languages yet both albums reflect a strong contemporary theme.
