It is very important we don't shy away from the real truth of the Gospel. Growth is a key and paramount tool in the Kingdom but we don't have to dilute the truth in a bid to keep the saints in the faith, it's not ours to do, it's the Spirits'. If indeed the real truth of the Gospel is revealed to a convert at Salvation, he will not misbehave and growth would not be a problem.
Why paint it to a convert that heaven is a reward and not a gift and hence strive to get there...? If he knew he is living heaven on earth, will he think of misbehaving?
Why paint it that the Spirit leaves a believer when he commits a sin....? If he knew the Spirit is with him forever, will he not have the boldness to approach the father when he misses the mark rather than running farther from him, thinking he has no help...?
at least these are so simple for a "baby christian" to comprehend.
It is like telling a baby whom you are teaching how to walk that, when he falls he's going to die or will be disowned, just to prevent him from falling.
We seem to be too meticulous thinking we are able to keep them from falling by the codes and conduct we give unto them.
What do we say to this when a person who has been converted for 10years remains in the state of a "baby christian", .....having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof....
Finally I think why people "-baby and adult and old Christian-" are misunderstanding grace is because they are trying to reason and explain grace (the foolishness of GOD) by their wisdom......indeed the foolishness of GOD is wiser than man....!
I ask that the Father of Lights enlighten our eyes of understanding.... Eph1:17-21
